Watercolor and metallic powder on paper, 30" x 22.5" 76 x 57 cm)
This painting imagines a time in the future when some of the ubiquitous humanoid robots that were previously assisting human beings decide to leave humanity and go out in the world by themselves. However, the world they experience is an algorithmic construct, as indicated by the numbers running along the whole painting.
This work suggests that our own creations might acquire a life of their own and choose their own paths. How will we relate to them?
